Re: Alcohol?

Wow I know what you mean about all the stress and dealing with the pain, and the rebellious teenage daughter! I have a 16 year old one! (And the family members is a tough one too)

I still drink some microbrew beer (which is probably not good for Candida but it has nutrients) and wine, but I really don't want to quit and be a complete teetotaller.

Just like I find it hard to be real strict with diet. I generally eat pretty healthy, and I can't see being so obsessed on "don't eat this, don't eat that" and "don't ever ever drink the bad, bad, alchohol!" Yes, it's good NOT to overdo it, but I really can't see going the rest of my life without certain foods and enjoying some beer or wine once in awhile.

I think wine has a lot of preservatives and sulfites in it and can trigger allergies etc. Good micrbrew has no preservatives and for me the hops are very relaxing. I like microbrew beer because it's strong and has a strong relaxing effect so I don't drink that much. But if you want to avoid the yeast I would go for the Vodka. I guess soda water would be a good low-cal mix? Or maybe some fruit essence water that doesn't have the sugar.

3 Vodka distilled from soy (no carbs) is pretty mild and pretty good:

Some people consider alcohol a little too "taboo" and don't realize that in moderation alcohol can have it's function and it's place!
