Very true. I am grain-free, except for a bit of rice now and then. I think some do better with fruits and some better with grains. My nutritionist advocates a grain-free approach. When I tried it, not only did I lose Sugar cravings, but I also lost that after-lunch tiredness that used to bother me so much. Her husband complained to her that he was always tired after lunch. She suggested he eat lunch w/o his usual bread the next day and see if he felt better. He came back next day and said he was just as tired. She asked what he had eaten, and he said, salad, tuna and crackers. Crackers! That is also bread. Next day he tried totally w/o grains, and his energy held up all day.
