Re: Xylitol as sugar substitute is good n/m

Just some thoughts.

Just wondering if you tried it and if so, on or in what?

I've heard there are a couple no Sugar sweetening agents that can cause diahrrea if overconsumed. Xylitol is one of them. Everyone's tolerance is different as to how much they can eat and still remain symptom free. I use stevia w/ no probs, and since I don't bake anything, no need for the powdery, dry sweet of Xylitol. But sounds good for buckwheat pancakes if some sweet in the mix is desired, or for homemade syrup with maple flavor. It might come out runny but maybe good for a "dip" for pancakes. Or maybe in a salad dressing; countless ideas, much like stevia. obj
