Re: Whats the best natural anti-fungal you've used?
i am the same as you...i have days where i get so excited cause i think i am really healing and getting better, and then one bad day usually throws me for a loops and i feel like i am never gonna get there. but you will get there, i promise. especially if you stick you a routine and protocol for the long haul and let you body adjust and heal.
just don't keep cheating or messing up the diet. i think lemons and limes are actually ok. there is hardly and
Sugar or carbs in them. i just seem to be reacting to them now as before i never did. i used to put lemons in my water all day everyday, and used it on my salads too and never had an issue. in fact most diets you read for candida tell you to use lemon in all your water cause it is a strong antioxidant. carrots are very high in sugar...higher on the glycemic chart than lots of fruits...so i would stay away from over doing it with them if you can help it. i cut them out permanently for now because i find any little sweet treat i think i can have becomes an addiction. i was eating whole bags of baby carrots in a day or two cause once i started on them i couldn't stop. i am at a point right now where i really don't have food cravings and it isn't so much the diet that gets me down...it is the symptoms i still have. i have no problems sticking to the diet anymore. i just think in my head, one little bite or morsel of anything i shouldn't have is not worth the damage. i WANT to be better soooo bad and that is what keeps me going strong. i wouldn't even dare cheat on this diet ever again like i did last year over the holidays. i won't touch alcohol til i know i am 100 percent recovered. that is another thing i read on here...some people saying alcohol is ok once in awhile. any candida book you read tells you alcohol is an absolute NO NO. these are the things i am talking about when i say be strict and get the diet over with so you can go back to normal life.
just hang in there and you will get there. i am only about 8 or 9 weeks into strictness myself. i think by summer time i should be feeling even better than i do right now.
oh and stay away from foods you know cause a reaction in you even if they are candida safe...
food sensitivities cause inflammation and irritation and we need a chance to let our gut heal.
the only other things i am doing besides strict diet is taking lots of vitamins and trace minerals in my water to replenish everything that candida strips us of.
and i just saw a naturopath last week finally after seven months of sickness who specializes in adrenal dysfunction. i am going to have him help me treat all of the underlying issues that i got going on. when one system isn't working, it makes it hard for another system in the body to heal. they are all interrelated and play a role in another's function.
oh and i get reflexology done weekly, and shiatsu massage weekly.
