Well, made another trip to the general dr. in hopes that I could get a thyroid test, have hormone levels checked and maybe get soem nystatin. I went to the Dr. in the practice that my hubby and I both felt would be most likely to have an open mind. I brought all blood work results including candida with me hoping for a script for nystatin. I really feel nystatin might be the one extra thing I need to push it over the edge...maybe.
I told Dr. of my symptoms including anxious feelings and Depression ( dumb move on my part). Basically he told me I need an anti-depressant and my problem was most likely genetically inherited. He then told me I need an MRI to rule out MS ( yikes!). After that I asked him if he had ever heard of an overgrowth of candida in the intestines which got a good laugh. He then proceeded to explain to me, in a condesending manner, that everyone has candida. It is on our skin and throughout our bodies and it is supposed to be there. He said the whole concept is controversial and that Drs. that believe in it are trying to simply take our money. Even after I showed him my white tongue he still said no dice. So no prescription for nystatin. But I did get checked for Thyroid and hepatitis for some reason. Can't hurt to rule it out I suppose.
So I am on a mission to get some nystatin. Any ideas
