HI Rachel
Dear Rachel,
How I did it was, simply by hanging around here and taking advices from people .... rather than the doctors. They are not knowledgeable when it comes to candida. There was this nutritionist: Shelley who used to advise us here, she now has her own forum and she is just FANTASTIC, check it out: http://www.askshelley.com
Here is my advice (how I proceeded step by step implies many mistakes I have done so here is the shortcut).
The diet: YOU MUST ABSOLUTELY STARVE THE YEAST (This is actually a better option than the antifungals which do not seem to have much effects on the rhizomic candida). The first step is to adhere to the diet and - in the process- find out which are your personal intolerance, any tiredness indicates that you have most likely eaten something wrong earlier that day or the day before. Identifying them is very important as they change from person to person: food and perfume. THere was a time when walking down the detergent alley at the grocery store was enough to set me down.
I have used antifungals before: rotating allicin supplements (3 weeks) and grapefruit seed extract. THis is for the natural stuff.. and then you need to rotate them every 3 weeks or else, it will not be efficient anymore.
For chemical antifungal, I would recommend Nystatin.
HOWEVER, I do recommend you get started with antifungals, but I do not take them anymore.... they just help relieve the symptoms while you are not set on your personal intolerances (allergies) or when you still cheat a bit on your diet.
The supplements: (I think you might have had problems with the diet previously due to a lack of supplement).
Candida depletes magnesium and vitamin B
Magnesium is essential to assimilate calcium so you need to supplement in both.
You need to take these daily: Vitamin A-B-C-E, calcium magnesium, zink (if you have skin rashes), good EPA oil (2 out of extra virgin olive oil, linseed oil and fish oil- with EVERY MEAL), lecithin, glucosamine (if you have rhumatism SEE BELOW) and yogurt (or lactic bacteria from kefir or threelac)
This and an enema bucket is a good start, since you are familiar with candida, I'll assume you're familiar with enemas as well, if not post again.
YOu carry on with only these, until you know which are your personal intolerances.
Then you start the cleanse
The idea is simply to cleanse the cleansing organs of your organism:
Bowel
Kidneys
liver
How I did it was a fast (semi-fast, see my post in reply to the "FAST" post above) - for 3 weeks (kidney cleanse)
Then I did the B & P shakes (Bentonite and psyllium) you do not badly need the
Bentonite at this point, just some psyllium husk 2 to 3 times a day, for 3 to 4 weeks (bowel cleanse)
Then I did 4
Liver Flushes (
Hulda Clark e recipe here at Curezone) you have two options the flushes or the cleansing carrot salad. This was over another 3 weeks.
Then I took a break for a month (with the diet) I needed to study intensively and these cleanses can dause die-off at times.
Then I started again - kidney-bowel-liver. Then I took a break for 2 months, studying.
then I started again and candida came out after 2 weeks of semi-fast. It's been coming out ever since.
hope this answers your question!
Now as far as your symptoms are concerned,
-constant yeast infection - insert a garlic clove in your vagina daily. This will also help with the PMS symptoms
Do the finger trick: insert your finger to clean thoroughly (while in the shower)
Take soda bath and do the finger trick (this works marvel when it become too itchy)
- upper back shoulder pain.... this is not rhumatism it means your liver is struggling.
You have to :
1-watch your cholesterol (avoid oil except for good EPA oil, avoid egg yolk, 2% or skim milk yogurt, no fried food, EAT: loads of fiber, a Granny Smith green apple a day, colliflower, carrots, oatmeal, citrus fruit)
2-do a liver cleanse
So instead of beginning with the fast I would advise you'd begin with the cleansing salad below. Due to your state 7 days is likely not to be enough aim at 17 to 22 days.
The color of your stool indicates how well the liver is doing - greeninsh: bile is in there.
constant dark brown: your liver is doing much better
tan: normal with candida, your liver is struggling
So carry on with the salad until you get a constatn dark brown stool.
1 cup carrot pulp or grated
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
spices for flavor (I use Tarragon, parsley, minth and oregano).
Must eat 7 days in a row for it to cleanse liver.
WHENEVER I EXPELL SOME CANDIDA IN MY STOOL, I will get an upper back shoulder blade pain
SOOOOOOOOOOOoo! look in there, look for threads, dig in your stools with some disposable tools ( I use choptsicks, but then again , I live in Taiwan). I know this sounds gross, but it is sooooooo rewarding to see them there and thus know that you are heading somewhere, you might already be there and not know yet!!!!
-hip pain- this is the kidneys complaining, so whichever is worst shall indicate which one to begin with. (Then again this pain to me is closely associated with expelling yeast regularly... do have a look).
If both hip pain and upper back pain are troubling you. Do the salad cleanse and the semi-fast at the same time.
No worries!
I would bet you are expelling yeast already, girl!
Take care,
Jhan
