Re: Healing It! Slowly but surely.
Dear Jhan,
I wondered if you can tell me what you have done to cure your candida, as you have obviously made a real breakthrough. It would be fanstastic to have, if you don't mind, a step by step discription. There are so many very different approaches on this site and I want to find just one to follow.
I first did the candida diet a year and a half ago for 5 months. Although my symptoms have improved since then I got very unwell at the time, lost too much weight and got very weak and undernourished. In some respects my symptoms aren't as incapacitating now - as I had memory loss and brain fog so badly I could barely function. However, I now have constant yeast infection,
Arthritis like pain through my back, hip and shoulder and crippling PMS symptoms. I am waiting results from doctor to establish what is causing the joint pains - (I also had uveitis recently for the first time so am wondering if its Ankylosing spondylitis)... However, I suspect that the candida is the underlying problem.
I was given fluconazole by my doctor, as a gut fermentation test showed that I had high levels of candida in my system however, the side effects were really bad so I stopped taking them. To add to matters I am keen to get pregnant, I've been putting it off for a long time so that I can sort my health out but think it might take forever so want to try to conceive now - this obviously restricts some of the medicine I can take. So any advice you can give on safe anti fungals would be great.. I have been taking probiotics, garlic pills, magnesium, vit c, selenium, yeast free b-vits...
Any advice you could give me would be a life line
Thank you
