Re: yeast infection ... rectal itch? YES

All these symptoms may be candida-caused.

Read post above from me, subject: the diet. It has more suggestions for foods that might be contributing.

Try a hot bath with epsom salt, I found that helpful.

The sleepiness is concerning, candida gives off many, many chemicals, some are known to be coma-inducing. Sounds like you may have high levels. Gotta get 'em OUT!

Drink a lot of water.
Add Bentonite (to pull toxins out), which you take with Psyllium Husk (fiber to move all that gunk out of your system)

Your doc may or may not be responsive to your concerns. Most will not believe you could have serious candida without something like HIV first. Wear your thick skin when you go. People often need the anti-fungal six months or longer for an infection as serious as yours sounds. Diflucan I think is hard on the liver, but nystatin is inert so preferred for long-term.

I have not tried the things you are considering for the itch problem, but I have read posts here from people who did, and found those ideas helpful. Some people here have tried a lot of enemas, and some seem to find them very helpful. So far I just try to treat whole system.

Keep reading, there are so many people here with suggestions and a lot of activity lately. :)
