Re: nystatin

Um, let's see I started July 2004. Took it for months but don't remember how many, I think until Oct/Nov.? When I ran out, at first thought maybe I was done with it, but then noticed a plateau. Not sure if that's cause there's still more candida there, or other parasites? Hard to know but just in case I sought the refill of nystatin and I'm starting again, along with anti- parasite treatments. Can't wait to be better, so just trying both approaches.

Doc said many people need 6 months or longer. Hard to say... maybe depends on how severe case is, how well you follow diet.

He did say you absolutely must do both- he never had any patient who decided to rely on just diet or just nystatin do better. Nystatin without the diet made people feel worse, even, maybe because they are feeding candida while killing it and causing die-off?

BTW, his explanations are kind of funny. He tries to make things understandable, but I don't know... he sure knows a lot about yeast!
