Glad you can get to him. I should mention that he just may roll his eyes when he hears how other doctors have treated you! He does understand candida and will precribe nystatin. If your insurance doesn't cover it, ask him where to take the prescription- he knows a pharmacist that will reduce the price for you.

The nystatin tastes horrible- but really worked well for me. My tastebuds seem to have adapted- it is still horrible but not like when I started. For several doses I put the powder into capsules- try buying gelatin capsules from Walmart- under $3, instead of empty capsules - $12! I just dump out the gelatin and put in nystatin. I take some doses without the capsules to help control oral thrush. Also put some drops of Grapefruit-Seed-Extract (grapeseed extract) into my regular mouthwash. Works well.

Before you go for your appointment, start the diet at least a week before. If you need his diet let me know. That will allow you to start the nystatin immediately rather than having to wait.
