Re: Thanks to everyone for the response

This is what is working for me (last summer I could not work and was not far from just staying in bed all the time).

- Nystatin
- diet:

1. NO MALT!! That's the most important part. Malt is used commercially to grow yeast- and I can tell immediately if I accidently have any - gas and bloating. Yuk! Be careful- it could be listed as maltodextrin, malted barley flour, barley malt, etc. No malted beverages, either.
2. No vinegar. This is because vinegar and fermented foods have antibacterial properties (don't spoil, right!?!) and will interfere with your efforts to reestablish probiotics. (The poster who had improvement with sauerkraut is maybe benefitting from a laxative effect?).
3. No mold- that means stay away from aged cheeses. Nuts and cottonseed oil are also mold contaminated.
4. Stay away from yeast and other fungi-contaminated foods. This is because of the overload of chemicals on the system- don't want to add to that by adding more of the same toxins. Chocolate is dried with fungi- so none of that.

Many people have talked about giving up sugar- I haven't done that. Considering it, though, just for a healthier lifestyle and maybe I'll be rid of this candida even faster. I do use nutritional supplements. Tried them without the nystatin, but by themselves didn't get me anywhere.

I am able to work now, and sometimes even feel like exercising. It still really tires me out, though.

I hope this is helpful.
