Your definition of "evolutionists" is extremely constricted and not correct from my experience. But even at that, why could God's creation not have taken place in the form of a Big Bang? I don't see anything in the Bible that excludes that possibility. (But, just to clarify, I do view the creation story in Genesis as myth, not historical fact.)

Who asserts that people were once fish?
