So can you give me any examples of this same type evolutionary pattern today? What animals have body parts which are completely -- or even halfway -- unnecessary...(as would have to be the case at one point in time for this creature.) Every animal I see has the exact body parts it needs to function optimally. In otherwords I don't see a deer somehow evolving into anything but a deer in the future. A deer will always be just a deer. Also, I don't see many examples of animals with half-evolved and/or non-functional body parts. Can you point me to some?
