I don't get it


they found these things at the north pole (I think that's where it said)....so what is the evolutionary predecesor to that animal that's there now?

how is this any different than a present-day seal or frog -- which are more or less crosses between land and sea/water animals?

So did these eventaully turn into elephants and giraffes and cows and bears?...is that what they're telling us? I can see that it slightly resembles an alligator...but a hampster slightly resembles a squirrel. Just because this is an old and extince creature, what's the point? Did this creature just wake up one morning and decide to breathe air as opposed to using the oxygen from the water? How does that process evolve?
