Re: GMA - create the problem, offer the solution.

Ya, right on.

The most profitable industries are the pharmaceuticals, and processed foods. Eat the food, take the pills. They own each other's stock.

Acrylamide is a nightmare for human health. They knew all about it years ago, but they didn't let US make a choice: "We communicate clearly in labeling, packaging and advertising to enable consumers to make informed choices" \
Ha ha ha ha, sure they do: just their REFUSAL to put Genetically modified on labels, or trans fats content, or amount of pesticides used and how much stays with the product, etc etc. Consumer groups have demanded these labels over and over, but no way will the GMA do it. Choices my foot.

Trans fats too.
And the shameless promotion of milk consumption, especially with those school "nutrition" programs; it is such an obvious exapmle of "create the problem, offer the solution", on more than one level.

Cyrlius, this is a great bit of info:"look what companies people are on the board of directors: Kraft Foods Inc., PepsiCo, Inc., ConAgra Foods, Inc., The Procter & Gamble Company et cetera. "
Good research there buddy!

Conspiracy is the exact term for that.

My local grocer who sells organics and would like to sell only "good foods" tells me that he is hamstrung by the companies. They will demand that he sells entire lines of their foods, or get none at all, which would put him out of business. And other tactics of coersion too, like saying "that [healthy] product can't be here, take it away or you can't have any of these".

And of course, no foods can be claimed to help people with diseases. Foods are our first line of defense against disease, yet we cannot talk about it, thanks to the food Conspiracy with pharmacy, farm chemicals industry, etc.

Eating organics is the best defence we have against the food industry. They have made sure the price is beyond most people's ability to eat them, but when possible, its a good idea.
