I wouldn't say that I'm being taken in by 'propaganda', in fact I'm fairly insulted that you believe me to be. I am a fourth year Master of Pharmacy student in the UK. I am getting my information from Doctors and Professors of pharmacology and microbiology. These people have no connection to the pharmaceutical industry, and as we have a National Health Service, insurance people don't get a look in. Different from the money-grabbing culture over in the US I think. I speak of research that has been confirmed and been put into practice, not the crappy pseudo-science that seems to be the order of the day here. You people will happily swallow any herbal crap thats given to you, without knowing the precise ingredients. Probably blended in someone's garden shed to score a few quid off of gullible sods like you!! In the UK, the supposably 'safe' herb Kava was withdrawn from sale because of serious liver reactions, what makes you think that herbal stuff is safe? I don't see many people chewing on belladonna or yew berries!! Conventional medicine has its faults, that I don't deny, but at least there are checks for safety anf efficacy - and ways of tracking and recalling batches. Something that is not the case when it comes to herbal supplements. What would you rather take if you had meningitis? Penicillin G and ceftaxime? Or some dodgy crap that will 'cure' your infection by 'cleansing your bowels?' Think on that. Conventional medicine has extended the average lifespan - or would you rather live in Middle ages when all they had was herbal medicine? What was the average lifespan then?
You are fools being taken advantage of by charlatans.
