Re: Did god mess up, or Jesus not get the job done ?

You know darn well that athiests say that there is no god, so what the hell do you think we would think about stuff like this:
"How could the Father show the world the pathway we should go?
He sent his Son to walk with men on earth that we may know."

oh well. But here is what I think:
The path we would walk if we were moral is not the one we are on - so he was sent to do, or is it just that humans have yet to learn morality? Evil is growing on earth since GW Bush took over.
It seems to me that all the preachy stuff you might present just shows the hypocracy of religion. All the religious ones are at war, and the moral people like me are trying to show that the war is evil, it is wrong, and it is about oil - would god or jesus approve of this war? Not a chance. Its a lot of deception.

Jesus failed to get mankind to follow him on a moral path, didnt he? Please answer at least that one question for me okay?

And religious people are the main force behind this war in Iraq. Do you refute that? Do you stand with them? Do you believe the lies of the white house staff, who are all religious?

MORE on the scripture you sent:
I think its a misguided idea to say god sent Jesus, or to get too attached to the idea that god sacrificed his only son for the human race's sins. Thats just a bit of drama to get people's attention. "oh, I feel so sorry for god losing his son , now I will walk the moral path" Arrrggg, no they dont - no matter what the fables, we can see that it didnt take effect, that humans are still on the wrong path. Especially the religious ones. Thou shalt not kill, but you do. Something is wrong here.

I also do, in fact, in deed, and in very real ways "live like Jesus". JC was a real man, and he had a lot of good ideas about how to get along in life, and with others. I do those things too. Some say JC smoked pot too, IE the annointing oils.

We can all be a lot like Jesus, and if we were we would be doing "what Jesus would do". Actually, if we simply live by a moral code that we "knew" was rightous at a very early age, we are doing it like Jesus. Basic right from wrong.

Christianity implies that if we are not believers we are sinners. I am not a sinner, I am more morally minded than many "christians" I have met and christians I have observed.

The one issue of the Iraq war is central to seeing the hypocracy of christianity. We are sending a lot of our sons to die - does that make us god too?
