Re: Bach remedies not homeopathic

Boronia,
my understanding of the Bach remedies is that although they are dilute, they are not homeopathically dilute - i.e. there is a physical amount of the original herbs present. In other words there is a herbal effect going on rather than a homeopathic one.

Actually you can say for sure when something works as a placebo. You do this by testing it statistically against a known placebo (e.g. a Sugar pill) and comparing the results. This is what the entire drugs industry is founded on - comparing a drug against a placebo and seeing if the drug has an effect over and above placebo. No no one has been able to demonstrate statistically that homeopathy works better than a placebo. If they could there is a $1 million prize awaiting them from the John Randi foundation.
