yep...seems we are the only ones here... but i would like to say this... it seems your underlying motive is attached to a 'resentment' that you have against the women for having their own meetings... that seems to be a very common characteristic among newcomers... i remember how i preferred mens meetings in the early days... simply because i could speak more openly...

i haven't wanted to reply to your post because i really do not care for argument... nor debate... since "our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics recover from alcoholism"... i can't see where any of this (debate if you wish to call it that) is helping anyone... the traditions are not carved in stone...

what you are saying is true... i do not deny that... but what i've been trying to tell you in a more gentle way is that trying to enforce the traditions (or anything about AA) is to me very similar to the same lunacy of people that believe they are suppose to be fighting for God... i'm sure God can handle it all by Himself... i'm sure because he never has asked me to fight... that was always my idea and my way of handling things... and that kind of thinking is what got me into AA to begin with... lol... ;-)

so... our job is simple... all we need to do is "suit up & show up"... as far as the "womens meetings"... i wouldn't attend one of them unless i were wearing a wig and dress... lol... ;-) but also... i can be compassionate enough to see that they might have special problems that they would be uncomfortable talking about in a mixed meeting... so i believe in allowing them their space... even though it may go against the traditons in doing so... i believe AA will somehow manage to survive...

"resentment is the #1 offender... it kills more alcoholics than anything else"...
maybe you should build a bridge... to get over it...

take care joe...
God bless...
