God grant me the SERENTIY to ACCEPT the THINGS i CANNOT CHANGE...
the COURAGE to CHANGE the THINGS i CAN...
and the WISDOM to KNOW the difference...

this whole wide world... is out of control...
so how does one save... ones very own soul...
when i am constantly fixing people places and things...
much torment and dissapointments within me it brings...

i must learn to accept my life... my lot...
for i cannot transmit... what i haven't got...
so how does one find the proper place to begin...
the answer my friend... is to look within...

somehow... we're here to settle our own score...
that's all there is... there is no more...
i can only make this world a better place... by one...
but to conquer me... is when my life has just begun...

God relieve me of the bondage of self...
that i may better do thy will...
i don't know if that has happened yet...
do you think... i must surrender still...

the ego gives us... ball and chain...
and in it's prison... we all remain...
freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose...
all the things i cling to... are all the things i choose...
