Re: A.A. is Not Allied with any Sect ? look closer
Thanks for being here drofinnah
The figures come from
http://www.aa.org then click (about A.A.) then click Estimates of AA groups and members which started in 1951 Conference approved P-48 is the number.
There are many other time lines of A.A. that are backed with page and book names in A.A., but besides all this I can’t help looking around and seeing with my own eyes in all the meeting I attended. I talked tonight with friends, they suggested to start another meeting, why run, I asked them why can’t we take care of what we got? If our purpose is to carry the message why don’t we give it back.
The sect meetings started in the mid 70s after Bill W died in 1971. the principles that they break can’t be left to God to fix them we have to be responsible somewhere.
Taking the suggested steps are for everybody not just an alcoholics and the outcome is left up to God, I believe God’s average is 100% too. But what about our part?
A.A. will endorse anyone who wants to use the steps as long as they don’t use the A.A. name, Why don't the steps work everywhere why meetings? – The steps are suggested and the traditions are guarantees for the alcoholic as they were left to us in hopes we will not destroy what God has given us so another generation can survive. When the traditions were wrote it was the first attempt to put our principles in writing. Have we jumped track in regards to helping another? I would rather look now then later.
