Eye flashes, twitching and mild floaters

Starting a couple months ago, I experienced nearly constant eye twitching in my left eye and after a couple weeks it went away. Then, about 10 days ago I started experiencing a brief flash in the extreme left corner of my left eye. After a couple days I visited an opthalmologist who assured me that there was nothing visibly wrong with my eye. But the flashes continue with an average frequency of 2 to 10 times an hour. Sometimes it almost seems like something is sliding very quickly into the corner of my eye to create a flash. In addition to these symptoms I have mild floaters in my right eye that I only noticed after the flashes started in my left eye. And finally, today the twitching returned in the left eye.

I've read this forum all the way through and plan to try miso every day but am wondering if anyone has any other suggestions regarding either the cause or a remedy for these conditions?
