We still have AOL too as back up when the cable is out. We pay $4.95 a month and I think you get 2-3 hours a month free. We used to use it when we were in the motorhome and would switch to full service when we were on the road.
They don't advertise this price. We have had it for years and when we renew we call and say that is what we want otherwise we cancel. They always say they still provide it.
It is important for them to have a lot of subscribers, that is where their advertising dollar is coming from.
We do the same with the newspaper, since most of the news you see on tv and read it on the computer, so the paper is not that important anymore. Tweet
