Hi,
You may want to checkout website www.creditinfocenter.com go to credit repair and find out what your rights are. A friend of mine never responded to the summons she got and a judgement was filed (long story)However, because the papers were not served properly we were able to get the judgement vacated with complaint. We were able to get her wages back from being garnished due to she was a single parent and head of household. I havent been able to find a lawyer to help her further even though we have a good case.(the statute of limitations was up before they filed suit) You also may check out the statue of limitations in your state on a revolving account.(creditinfocenter has this info) If the staute of limitations is up it may be illegal for them to try to collect.Staute starts from the date of the last activity on the account from what Ive read. There may be some things you can do for yourself without a lawyer. It may be hard to find a lawyer to help (cuz there is no money in it)While you are there go to the disscussion board (legal) I have spent hours on this sight creditinfocenter and it has useful information. I have helped lots of people with credit repair and it does work.
Good luck
