Re: Tourrette's Syndrome

We have a son who just turned 5. He has had some tics that became evident last year. He went all summer with no tics that we could tell and then 2 weeks before school started he started the eye rolling, mouth opening, arm/hand flexing... So, we have an app. with a neurlolgist in Dec. We looked back and thought of things he was doing even at 3 that were probably tics. My son is easily frustrated as well. I thought that was interesting. I wanted to ask if you have anyone in your family history with Parkinsons or tremors? I do. My grandfather. My friend's son has TS too and his grandmother has Parkinsons. I can't help but believe that there is a connection. Everything I have read so far says that meds are not reccommended unless the child is in pain or it is disruptive to school.
