Re: The 'real' scoop on Mucoid Plaque??
Reviewing one of alienlady's links to the
Master-Cleanse book online
http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/7244/master_cleanse.html (and it does look at least mostly accurate compared to the "real" copy of the book I read @ the bookstore,) there is no specific mention of "mucoid plaque," but I realize that the actual name vs. the description of the stuff may have been created by someone else much later to sell his own products. I am also curious to know if anyone has passed anything that looks like the pictures from ONLY
Master-Cleanse without P&B shakes or anything else additional to the basic
Master-Cleanse prescription. Based on my own personal experience, "stuff" did come out but nothing like the pictures I've seen, and I can believe that without proper elimination that stuff can stagnate and cause trouble. Ayurveda is thousands of years old and refers to toxins/toxin buildup in the body, also I may be mistaken but my understanding of some causes of bowel cancers such as colon cancer were related to extended contact with toxins from poor elimination. In conclusion, IMHO, whether or not "mucoid plaque" exists or looks like the stuff in the pictures, MC can be cleansing and beneficial.
PS: schmitage, I applaud your critical thinking and research - I also try to gather as much information and alternate opinions to any idea under consideration.
