Re: Re- past post-teenager with anxiety/mood swings

Hi Rubyglow,

I'm so happy to hear that things are looking up for your daughter and you!

I really believe that many, many behavioral and emotional problems that kids (grown-ups, too) have are related to diet and imbalances such as parasites, candida, etc. Among other things, I'm a clinical psychologist and went through a major health crisis years ago when I was in graduate school. What I experienced and learned during that time resulted in my shift to a specialization in health psychology and eventually pursuing other avenues of healing. Too often I have seen people's problem approached on purely a physical or a psychological level with minimal effectiveness, and most physicians and psychologists never address the nutritional components. The end result is often a lot of frustration and hopelessness for the individual and their family.

It sounds like you have found a wonderful naturopath and the two of you are a great team for your daughter. It's unfortunate that you don't have more support from your partner...I hope he makes up for it in other ways. Who knows...maybe he will come around as he sees the dramatic changes with your daughter! Healing can be a lonely road sometimes...but we're all fortunate to have the support of so many great folks here at CureZone! ; )

Regards,
Pam
