I haven't tried this. I was told I may have a hard time processing the proteins in nightshade vegees, and thus store them in my joints. A few months ago I went completely off potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant and bell peppers. My joint pain was down to about 50% within 2 weeks, and flared up when I ate something with mashed potatoes as a "hidden" ingredient.
I'm not sure which part of the tomato has the proteins, but I may look into that. I have to admit I REALLY miss them!
