Re: MC rookie needing advice

hi there,
I eat relatively healthily apart from the odd splurge so I'll leave the food side of your question to the other gurus. On the drink front, though, I can speak!! Since I gave up smoking about three years ago my drinking went through the roof - I don't really get drunk but my resistance has got so high that I can down a bottle of wine in an evening and not feel it - and I'm only little! The Master-Cleanse helps break that cycle. It did last year anyway and for months afterwards I was quite happy to just drink moderately and socially (apart from the very occasional splurge but I think we need them once in a while...) for ages. And I started to enjoy it again - spending more on better wine and sharing it rather than getting the cheapest plonk and it hardly touching the sides. It's started to spiral again recently cos of I dunno really - relaxing on my resolutions/ boring emotional stuff/ bad habits.... Nothing serious but enough for warning bells to ring and I'm back on the Master-Cleanse for health but also to re-programme my drinking again. The first night was the worst - I was literally climbing the walls by 9pm but that was good in a way cos it made me realize how much I needed this. Now it's not so difficult and could miss it with salt water and lemonade to replace it?! Ho ho. Seriously though, I've no intention of kicking alcohol completely just get back to enjoying it two or three times a week instead of slugging it every night. It worked before! I think the mc is a brilliant way to make a break with the past and start again - and it's up to you to decide what and how much you want to drink in the future. It's an effective way of re-taking control of your life, I've found anyway. Hope this helps...
anya
