This question comes up from time to time. The Liver Flush as the name suggest cleans the liver. The olive oil causes the liver to go into overdrive to produce sufficient bile to digest the oil and aciditity from the citric acid swells the volume of bile with bicarbonate fluid to case a tidal wave that can sweep any obstrctions from the bile ducts. The magnesium in the Epsom Salts helps to relax the smooth muscle in the valve that regulates the bile flow and this increases the rate of flow alowing bile and obstructions to pass more easily.
