But I did wonder why Hil-liar-y looked a bit peaky in that interview with Jeffrey Goldberg at the Atlantic Festival in Oct 2018, later aired on C-Span. I finally have my answer. Her zombie-like transformation musta just started to kick in, if somewhat belatedly.

As for the Pope's security, the US constabulary now knows what it's up against - the best-trained beefcake in the world. Those deadly spears and court jester outfits would be enough to strike the fear of God in any heart. They'll easily best any SWAT or Fed team the US can put together, so woe betide anybody who tries to take them on. It was a real shame Aldo Moro didn't have that kinda protection. If he did, your incompetent agents would not have been able to kidnap and then murder him, as they have done with at least another dozen or so democratically elected leaders across the globe.

But yeah, those geriatric popes are an entirely different ball game. They are notoriously difficult to bag coz they hardly ever appear in public, and are copiously greased so they can easily escape the clutches of any sheriff. Any attempt to arrest one of them would require planning and resources on a monumental scale that is well beyond the capacity of a country like the US.
