Re: Saprophytic infection? Saprophytic Worms/fungus?

Ok so this is one that I found stitching itself through a face cloth. In hindsight, I wish I would have take a photo with it still woven into it but theres always next time.
Strange thing about these are, none of them are the same. The only thing that they have in common is this weird behavior. Hence, the suspicion of it being some type of microscopic, saprophytic organism pulling the objects. Like could it be something in the face cloth itself causing this to happen and the threads, hairs, fibers etc. are actually just the organism's food? Am I making sense? Sorry. My brain doesn't feel like its working right now.
This one looked like a hair at first glance but upon closer examination it appears to have a copulatory bursa. I have also gotten the brightly colored threads as well. I'll be sure to take photos next time I find one.
