Re: Another Flawed Cancer Study Pushes Chemo and Radiation, Warns Against Alternatives

Thank you for the post and link to more in-depth analysis.

Two sentences stand out.

"the study authors report that cancer patients who opted for alternative measures to treat their cancer had a poorer 5 year survival rate than those who opted for the mainstream treatments (82.2% versus 86.6%)"

Wow that is fairly close.

"However, there was no significant association between cm (complimentary medicine) and survival once treatment delay or refusal was included in the model "

I previously debated the moderator of SmartPatients site about a similar crappy paper. I think the author is Johnson. I'm not a med pro but that moderator could not overcome my critique of the deceptive paper. The site was using it to deceive members. They reported a conclusion that was not supported by the paper.

Mainstream oncology must be under serious pressure from integrative medicine.

I certainly am not surprised. Check out the long list of amazing recovery stories at chrisbeatcancer.com.

I think the work of Dr J. Tennant that builds on the tradition of Dr Nick Gonzalez, Dr Kelly and Dr J Beard is impressive. If Tennant is correct, there will be a revolution in the treatment of solid cancers. The first thing a cancer patient will do is go to a biological dentist to get rid of the root canals, maybe cavatations.
