Water fast to recover from a possible hernia as a result of a recent nephrectomy

On March 28 I had a nephrectomy (kidney removed) - tomorrow is three weeks from the operation. I thought I was doing great in recovery, so I was walking more and more each day, and starting to carry small things. On Sunday I was carrying about 2 liters of fluids from a grocery store. I was in a lot of discomfort and mild pain when I got home. The next day the pain persisted and I felt a tiny lump under my left ribcage towards the end of the ribcage. Probable incisional hernia with an internal organ trying to poke through broken abdominal muscle.

I read testimonies online of it being possible to cure a hernia through water fasting. I'd rather do this (for many reasons) than surgery. I'm hoping that a shrinking of the stomach size, a reduction in visceral fat, and prayer might help the damage be healed and cause whatever was pushed out to be pulled back in. No pain today (Tuesday), nor nausea. No increase in the size of the bump under the rib. No discoloration, bruising, etc. No bulge can be seen, but only felt by touch.

I've water fasted before, once for just under two weeks. However I've never attempted an extended fast after a surgery and have never had a hernia. I would appreciate advice on this matter. I'm already a lightweight 5'9" 135lbs but I intend to fast until I either see results or give up and call my doctor...
