Excellent work, JSzone. I am sure you must have scars; I am sorry for that. Me too--big time, but had I not done the digging I would have never discovered what was lurking beneath.

Your images fit my skin disease exactly. I believe it is of one species of parasite (helminth) only. Besides the actual worm, they build structures (i.e., your "daddy long legs") in and under the skin in order to attach?reproduce?feed?travel?communicate?

Moxi applied topically won't work in the long run. They simply retreat and reappear later. I use injectable iver placed directly into the eye of a sore with a needle, or into the exact spot where a tiny tuft of skin--if that is what it is--emerges during an itch episode. I do not shoot the iver. It must touch the point of attachment (the encystment) at the underside of the upper epidermis. I don't go deep at all. Believe it or not, slowly but surely I am experiencing a decrease in itch episodes. I am not talking 3 days here, but more like six months' time. Three days is NOTHING when it comes to these things.

I've had the disease for 11 years. I do not have worms anywhere other than in my skin.

To get an idea of the encystment, search Sharkman posts for a cross-section he once posted. Once you can visualize it, you will understand how to approach it.

When you remove a specimen, be ready to preserve it: place it on saran wrap, fold the wrap, and place in the freezer.

Are you in/near NYC? If so, I know someone affiliated with Columbia U who can identify a frozen specimen. But this is unknown/unappreciated territory. No one has the cure.
