Re: otezla

Longterm - yes i have tried them. Many people with atopic and seb derm don't see any improvements with standard topical treatments especially seb derm. I would say due to the location also it makes it even more difficult. Unfortunately the medical world still doesn't know the exact cause of seb derm although there are theories like malezzia yeast or over production of sebum etc etc.

Erderm - occasionally i get small blister like bubbles with fluid. although i think this is just a mini irritation onto of the ec. apply a topical steroid for a 2-4 days and the bubbles will go away. do not pop them yourself.

Regarding seb derm i have read a few articles stating oral anti-fungals show good improvements although i know a few people with ec have tried them and have not seen any results its definitely worth a try. maybe consult your dermatologist and discuss.

Regarding ec and people who got it on accutane i find it very interesting that drug manipulates sebum production and i wonder if indeed it is triggered by the result of a malfunction of the immune system regarding sebum levels which personally i think are hormonal driven. something to i guess consider as their is a strong connection there.
