otezla

Hi guys and gals! I know its been ages since i updated but life gets busy. Recently my dermatologist prescribed me OTEZLA. I was on it for about 20 weeks unfortunately i didn't see any improvements. The drug slows the cell turn over rate in skin and is mainly used for psoriasis. The idea was it would hopefully stop the skin from shedding and lessen the amount of scales but unfortunately it didn't. The drug was pretty potent i did have small amounts of discomfort with nausea but it settled down after a couple of weeks.

I will continue to work with my doctors and hopefully try another treatment in the near future. I know a lot of you guys don't get out and seek treatment which i think is personally not the way to go about it. There are great dermatologist and immunologist out there and there are also some great functional/natural doctors. GET OUT AND TRY!!!

If there is one drug i really want to try is dupixent. i know its for Atopic dermatitis but personally i think it would be worth a shot with our condition as i believe the root cause driving the condition is inflammation.

I now truly believe EC is from the sebrohic dermatitis family. I suffer also from seb derm which started about 6 months before my ec. I know a lot of other people also suffer with the combination of ec and seb derm.

Hope everyone has been doing ok. I know for sure my life is completely different with this condition and i try make the most of it. I still dream of the day i am free from this horrible condition!

anyone has any questions ill check back on the forum in a couple of days. I still check the forum once every couple of months to see if anyone has made progress but unfortunately most of it is the same old stuff that doesn't work.
