Yo I have a similar problem as you but my issue wasn't started by allergic problems. And most people here said it's some type of fungus and it can easily be that. But for me in my case I just expose my lip by tearing the procteive lay so it become dry and would peel.So if that lotion you were trying for 5 month cured your peeling but didn't not help with the other stuff I believe you have a new Allergy . Since you cured your self but in the process your lips were exposed, something you ate or placed on your lips could have traveled through your blood stream by contact of your lips and made you Allergic.
