Good suppliers will provide, if requested, a manufacturer's name along with a “Certificate of Analysis” for the Iodine and Potassium Iodide they use in their Lugol’s or SSKI etc. ACS is preferred… which becomes apparent when comparing ACS and USP certificates. The certificates bear a manufacturer’s name along with batch or lot numbers. These numbers are matched to the batch or lot number(s) on the Iodine crystals or KI powder bottles. Each batch will have a different batch or lot number.

My own opinion is that, I’d rather deal with a small “unknown” Lugol’s mnf that CAN provide verifiable documentation, than a “name brand” which cannot. No matter how fancy the label and/or website.
Some Ebay chemical suppliers won’t even supply a manufacturer name while claiming all sorts of purity figures. Certificates of Analysis? Hmmm… These are the cheapest.

On a separate note:
It would be very interesting to compare detox symptoms and problems, against the Purity of Lugol’s solutions used. Also, reactions to magnetization, as in how much reduction in “iodine taste”, or improvement in flavor wrt initial purity.

Another thing to watch is that dropper drop sizes are NOT always consistent. The 0.05 mL volume per drop is an attempt at standardization, and is not necessarily accurate in all cases.
1 mL oral syringes are better for accuracy.
