Welcome to the forum. So just to let you know I have been fasting since I was a child and last 14 years with long fasts. My longest fast was 22 days.
We all make bad choices in eating. Processed foods and junk foods are everywhere, you just need to reset your mind so when you see all these foods walk away from it. Then there is planning, make a good plan of what you will eat for a week. Eat only when hungry. These rules will help.
A good thing you want fast. Drink warm water as per thirst, rest and stay warm are three things you need to do while fasting. Don't put anything in your mouth, no vitamins, supplements, toothpaste, etc.
If you get hunger pangs, drink warm water, sipping like tea. Pains and aches will happen, just let it pass, don't give into any symptoms of fasting and cleansing.
