You can never know for certain the reason some people get cured, those who have been may as well managed it because they left their lips alone long enough for some unknown internal healing process to complete.

As I said- almost everyone with EC put some kind of ointment on his/her lips and try to not to actively mess with the lips, so I don't see how you can draw conclusions. Tweet
