My whole family was involved in the military, at some point. Send me a PM and I'll tell you a little about my grandmother and grandfather. Grandma was British and there's quite a history there.
SO glad that you're in the country. My son is always concerned that he'll get arrested if he says something "wrong," and that people are going to act-out where we live. I explained to him that the people in the country will not tolerate stupidity, generally speaking. There are too many other things to attend to than the current social climate. ;-)
It's a good and kind thing to care for others with a passion, Tansybelle. I feel that we're lacking a lot of that, today - true concern, not the SJW rants about first-world issues. True altruism is much tougher than holding signs and screaming slogans.
