Mr. Lost - I know what you are feeling... I have never had much of a partner in my life, despite the fact that people generally like me, I am attentive and engaging, etc etc.

Then a few years ago after a long dry spell and sinking deep into depression, I met a woman and right away my mood brightened. Everybody could see it. I just feel good to have someone to share my days with.

It turned out that she was an expert tease who was enjoying my money. She went back to her regular boyfriend [details omitted].

Okay it wasn't real love... but there is something about EGO and SOCIAL ACCEPTANCE or whatever when people have a partner... and if not we are losers and we feel like losers if we want and do not get.
