End of day 4 (120 hours in) and I called it quits but not happy about it.
Long story short. Decided to do a 5 day fast when I had a full week off from work during the 4th week.
I made it to the night of day 4 when water wasn't cutting my "hunger?" So I made myself a balanced salad and ate a bit of it. Not sure if it was the right move.
More details:
I decided to do a 5 day(or longer) fast out of the blue to clean myself out. I'm a big dude 6'1 285 (35% body fat).
I started on the 4th and was planning to break on the 9th unless I felt like it was going smooth and carrying on. I got myself a bunch of distilled water and off I went and it was going AMAZING. After the first day hunger, second day 12 hour headache into an amazing perfect 3rd and 4th(mostly) day I cracked.
It was super easy, I'd drink a cup of water every hour or whenever I felt semi-hungry and had no problems with anything. Went through the first few days with the expected fasting issues, hunger, headache, etc but it all went away around day 2-3 and I felt better than I have in a long time. Day 3 was a perfect day, zero cravings, issues, pains or anything (I normally suffer from headaches) but at the end of day 4 I got a weird feeling similar to hunger I can't quite describe and water just wasn't enough.
I caved and made a keto friendly salad (Spinach, avocado, sunflower seeds, ham, dressing) but what worried me is why it became impossible to continue past that feeling?
Was it too long for my first time? Should I have taken vitamins or supplements? I'm just trying to figure out what happened or what I can do in the next run because it was amazing and I really wanted to do it longer.
