Re: Cure Candida by water fasting?
I've done countless short
Water Fasts but only two really long ones. My 35 day
Water Fast and 33 day
Water Fast both wiped out my candida--completely. My 21 day fast didn't, my 14 day fast didn't, and none of my shorter ones did.
Of course, the minute I started eating again, I started eating BAD so the problem returned eventually.
It's been awhile (2012) since I started a long fast, and my gut is in really bad shape, and I have systemic candida.
I just started a new fast and I'm on Day 3, and I'm incorporating CandaClear IV for 30 days during a fast. It's 3 anti-candida supplements spread throughout the day then a specially-formulated probiotic at night with NAC and other gut-healing agents. When I take the night-time probiotic/gut healing caplet, I also am drinking some Bob's Red Mill Potato Starch cold in water to feed the probiotic. Potato starch doesn't impact ketosis or have any calories when uncooked. It's what is called a resistant starch and is undigestable.
This time, since my candida is so bad and my gut in such bad shape, I'm hoping a long fast and the Candaclear IV regimen will kill the candida, repair my gut lining and replenish healthy bacteria.
I'm also thinking of adding lactoferrin during the fast.
When the fast is over and I begin eating again, I'm going to start colostrum from Sovereign Laboratories which is also supposed to be gut-healing. I'm going to try eating nothing but veggie juices at first, then veggies, then add in sardines for omega 3s, vitamin D and B-12. I'm also going to incorporate strength training and swimming to help keep the weight off and build muscle mass to increase metabolism.
That's the plan. I'll report back on when I think the candida is gone.
