Re: moving adonai to here
if anyone is still with me by the end of that then certainly the last paragraph sounds a little shakey.
remember this about neandertal. investigating them was a bittersweet experience for anthropologists. i know, i used to hob knob with a couple of them in college and they loved going to france to dig around for neandertal. they mostly liked the scenery and sipping wine at the colleges expense, but i digress.
before they mapped the genome of neandertal, they got to get tipsy and speculate on the evolution of man and how punctuated equilibbrium may have played a role and so forth. but when the genes were mapped is was clear and is clear, no matter how much christians wish it wasnt: neandertal was a seperate species of man. he did not evolve from US and WE did not evolve from him.
this is the big problem christianity has to try to remain even somewhat credible and reality based. what do they do with 2 species of man who lived on the earth at the same time and interbred?
well, i just told ya what they do with it. its right there in scripture, plain as day, when you know what youre looking for.
