Re: What happens when you don't prepare for fasting?

I also have done exactly what you describe. In fact I am 14 hrs into a dry fast that is ending a week like you describe. I plan to fast till I am really really low of BF and I am going to eat a vegan diet for a few months after that till my insulin sensitivity returns.

Anyway your liver is fueling your current energy expenditure, it will be empty soon, if you start out with say a 10lb liver and its healthy weight is 3.5 or so you have maybe 10+ days where you're using that. Anyway I am not sure if that would get you into ketosis or not.
Also that may be why you're feeling bad, liver detox as well as overall body detox.
I've serial fasted my way to solving some problems, but I may have created my self other problems.
I'm going to fast till true hunger returns and then I am going plant based for a few months atleast. Lets see what happens there after.
Thanks.
Srinath.
