Hello,
I started my
Water Fast totally clueless, so I did one thing that should not be done - I went crazy with all the food I shouldn't be eating for about a week. I was eating a lot
Sugar as for me (sweet oatmeals everyday!) and drinking coffee, sometimes even cake.
I was planning to do only 7 days, I was never fasting before. The reason to do this - to get rid of my cravings, reset a bit and find the natural source of energy in my body.
I was told that after 3 days I will surely go to ketosis. I started reading about fasting though, and the other said that after 7 days I will definitely feel great, other said - 4 days.
I am on the day 8 now and I feel pretty much the same all the time - very tired. I still have cravings, I fantasise about food. Don't really have any severe symptoms that are described, but am constantly tired.
It would be ok if I could rest but I can't so much, as I work and live on the farm and animals don't do fasting.
So I was wondering if maybe because I didn't prepare for the fast, the whole process lasts much longer for me?
I would like to know in what stage I am in and how much longer will it last until I finally start running on ketosis. Is there any way to say?
I'm tempted to just break it with conclusion that it doesn't work for me, but after reading on the benefits of a really long-term fasting, I would love to go as long a I can, but I can't afford to be tired for a month! The work is piling up.
