I agree. I visited several dermatologists who dismissed my skin condition as DP. If you ignore it it will go away, I was told. Well, it didn't. It worsened. All but one derm. spent any time to talk to me or bothered with tests. Only one had any basic empathy and the others were shamefully unconcerned. My skin condition revealed itself to be related to GI issues as well.
At this point I would never waste my time talking to a derm. again. Most are pompous, arrogant and uninformed MDs who focus their intellectual energies on organizing botox parties and peddling expensive treatments "designed to combat the effects of aging on the skin".
