One the partner front, here is a great formula that I learned when I was 19. I have been through many great boyfriends with this, and eventually found a great guy to marry when I was 29. I never wanted to get married, so I would never have to get divorced. He felt the same way, so we got married.
Here it is:
Write down everything you want in a guy, and it all has to be positive; He has a great sense of humor, he's funny, great body, 5'10-6'ft, takes care of himself, nutritionally sound, likes to go dancing, loves jazz music, and so on...be very specific, try not to generalize. Write it like you don't know him, so you can't say stuff like he respects me (you need to respect yourself), he loves me (you need to love yourself), anything with you in it doesn't work. You haven't met him yet, he doesn't even know you. After you have it written out, sleep with it under your pillow for up to three days. Then put it away in a book that has integrity for you and forget about it. Focus on your hobbies, things you love to do and go do them. Enjoy yourself! If you see a guy that you really feel like you want to talkl to, go talk to him. This is how I have met most of my really great guys, and I started the conversation. If you are not ready to met him, he won't show, no matter how many times you write your list over. It takes some believing in yourself, but you seem to already have that one down a bit. This is a recipe for miracles to show up. Have fun with it!
